Seit den 1940er Jahren wohnten Menschen in der Festung. Die rekonstruierte `Wohnung Suderland` aus den 1950er Jahren im Bereich des Ravelin dokumentiert die Nutzung der Festung in der Nachkriegszeit auch als Wohnraum. Die Wohnung ist mit zahlreichen original-Möbeln erhalten. Von der Wohnung führt eine Treppe zum ebenfalls rekonstruierten Selbstversorger-Garten auf dem Dach des Ravelin. Since the 1940s People lived in the Fortress. The reconstructed `Apartment Suderland` from the 1950s shows the Living Culture and how the Fortress was used as housing space in the postwar Period. The Apartment lays in the Area of the Ravelin. The Domicile is conserved with original pieces of furniture. From the Apartment a Stair guides upstairs to the reconstructed self-use-Garden on Top of the Ravelin.
